Instructional Writing 📝

15th Jan 2020

We have been looking at instructional writing including the different features and why instructions are useful.

The children were set a task to write a set of instructions on how to pack a suitcase for their ‘travels’ to Egypt.

Once completed they got into pairs and peer assessed each other’s work using a checklist. They checked if they had included all the features for instructional writing and finished by writing a nice comment on what they thought was good.
