We have been exploring our topic of the farm through our play this month. We set up a farm shop in the roleplay corner and had to make price tags, labels, shopping lists and use money. We have also been pretending to milk cows in the water tray, developing our fine motor skills and strength in our hands. Our small world play area and puppet theatre have been very popular; we have become more confident in using loose parts like logs and beads and I have been amazed at the imagination of the boys and girls in our class as they have made up their own stories.
