Over the last 2 terms P7 and P1/2 have paired up every Tuesday after lunch as reading buddies. The younger pupils bring along a selection of books for their older buddy to read to them. This helps to build relationships and a love for stories.
P7 then embarked on a special project to create their own book for their reading buddy. They asked their buddy about their likes and then wrote, redrafted, edited and illustrated their book. After weeks of hard work they read their book to their buddy before presenting it to them as a leaving gift.
