In R.E. this term we have been studying the theme of 'light'. This week we learnt about Diwali, the Hindu festival of light, which began on Thursday 19th October.
In art we created our own diyas, which are like tealight holders, out of clay. We focused on forming our clay into a shape and adding a pattern. Next week we will paint them in bright colours and use modelling wire and card to create a fake flame.
We also enjoyed colouring Rangoli patterns in bright colours.
