Forest Schools

25th Jun 2024
Yesterday we took part in some Forest School activities.

P1-4 enjoyed having a campfire. We talked about the good things fire can be used for and also how we can be safe around it to avoid getting hurt. We loved toasting marshmallows and noticing how the heat changed our marshmallows. To finish, we made them into yummy s’mores with chocolate digestives and enjoyed a tasty treat.

P5-6 used whittling tools to scrape bark off a willow branch and carved it into various shapes. Again, we learned to used the tools safely, and then decorated them with wool.
