We participated in the MUSFA October Festival today. Our first match seen is take on Bleary PS. In a close encounter, Bleary went 1-0 up after a fantastic save from 'keeper D. Cartmill. Mullaglass pressed for an equaliser and eventually got one through M. Chapman. A low drive from 18 yards out, nestled into the bottom corner. Full time 1-1.
Next up was Richmount PS. Mullaglass played some excellent flowing football and eventually ran out 4-0 winners. Goals from M. Chapman, J Dodds and 2 from R Wylie (one a long range effort from 20 yards) helped Mullaglass register their first win.
The third match so Mullaglass play Edenderry PS. This proved a difficult game for Mullaglass with a strong Edenderry side running out eventually 4-0 winners.
The final match saw Mullaglass play Orchard PS. This produced Mullaglass' best performance of the tournament. J. Dodds put Mullaglass in front with a well worked goal. Orchard equalised with a long range drive. However Mullaglass stepped up a gear and R. Wylie scored a wonder goal. A. Liggett scored late on with a low left foot drive to round of a 3-1 win.
Unfortunately, Mullaglass didn't qualify for the semifinals due to their goal difference. However some excellent play and lots more tournaments to come up.
