Today we went outside to do our number work. We have been learning about addition this week and today we were thinking about parts and wholes. We had ten skittles and took turns to try and knock them down. We knew that there were always ten skittles at the start and then counted how many we knocked down and how many were left standing. We recorded this on a part-whole model and used this to make an addition number sentence.
