Our ABL theme for this term is linked to our new class topic ‘Grace Darling and Lighthouses’. We have 4 stations which the children will have an opportunity to complete over the next few weeks. Our stations include junk art to create lighthouses, clay to make a tile with a lighthouse scene drawn and painted, lego to construct different types of lighthouses, boats and rafts, as well as making a sandwich which links to the book ‘The Lighthouse Keepers Lunch’. The children love their ABL time and learn lots of practical skills whilst developing their thinking skills and working as part of a team.
