P4/5 - Weekly News (7.1.22)
We have all settled back into P4/5 brilliantly this week. It is great to see the boys and girls remembering our daily routines so well.
We chatted about our Christmas holidays and recorded key events from the festive season using bullet points. For literacy we also completed revision on adjectives, learnt about New Year across the UK as part of our comprehension activities as well as writing our New Year resolutions.
During numeracy we revised rounding to the nearest 10 and 100 within a 2, 3 and 4 digit number with P5s progressing to rounding to the nearest 1000. We also started work on negative numbers focusing on reading a variety of temperatures on a thermometer.
For our PDMU lesson we reviewed our targets from the last half term and set a new target for this half term which has been added to our 'McDonald's' themed target display.
We enjoyed an Art for Kids art lesson, following steps to draw a polar bear.
Lots of excellent work completed in the few days we have been back which is great and will hopefully add a splash of colour to our classroom as it's currently looking very bare after Christmas!
Have a lovely weekend.
