This week in literacy we have been working on adverbs, contractions and completed some writing about finding a pot of gold and what we would use it for. We had some very interesting purchases and lots of extravagant holiday suggestions as well as some children suggesting giving some of their gold to charity.
As part of our topic work we learnt about Fair trade and created leaflets to explain our newly learnt knowledge. We included key facts and drew pictures to help support our writing.
Our numeracy focused on further developing our mental maths skills and collecting information to create a Carroll diagram.
We enjoyed a workshop from the Dogs Trust, an Eco Musical from Wastebusters and started our non contact boxing lessons during PE. A very busy and enjoyable week.
We were also lucky to win Mullabear for good behaviour during assembly.
