P6/7 - BBC Creative Writing Workshop
23rd Oct 2024
As part of Book Week NI, P6/7 took part in a creative writing workshop organised by the BBC and led by Paul Howard, an award-winning children’s author and illustrator.
Paul shared some of his work with the pupils and captivated their attention through creating a character and setting for their own short story. The pupils were full of ideas and loved getting the chance to contribute and then write and/or draw their own ending to their collaborative story. Following the holidays, the pupils will have the opportunity to write their own short story and submit it to the BBC's 500 Words competition.
Thanks to Gareth and Connaire from the BBC and Paul Howard for coming along to deliver the workshop. Also, a special thanks to past pupil Ally McKenzie for organising this for P6/7.
