We were learning about 2D and 3D shape. We looked at lots of shapes in our environment and noticed many shapes in and on the buildings in our local area. To finish our shape topic we each chose a building e.g. a house, school or supermarket and chose a 3D shape to represent it. We then stuck on a variety of 2D shapes to make the doors, windows and roof tiles etc. Finally we used our buildings to make a street or a village and had lots of great mathematical discussion!
