This year for World Book Day the whole school focused on the same book during our lessons. Our chosen book was called 'The Lion Inside'by Rachel Bright. A story about a little quiet mouse and a tough shouty lion who was head of the pack. The moral of the story is that, no matter your size, we all have a mouse and a lion inside.
P1/2 completed hot seating to discuss the story and also drew and wrote about the animal they would like to be.
P3 wrote thought bubbles for the mouse and the lion and completed a story sequencing activity.
P4/5 planned and a wrote a newspaper report to review the book.
P6/7 created their own lion and wrote their opinion of what they thought the message of the story was.
